CHANNILLO
Searching For Home
By Lauren Berg

Series Description:

What does it mean to call a place home? What if that place is halfway across the world?

Working for a study abroad program in Kaikoura, New Zealand, Lauren taught students the importance of "home-making." When it came to home-making Lauren didn't hold back: connecting with the community, playing open mics at the local pub, and befriending strangers on hiking trips around the country.

But when a natural disaster devastates her New Zealand town, she finds leaving and saying goodbye to a home was something she hadn't learned.

Follow her journey from falling in love with a place and calling it home, to learning to let go and process the trauma and grief that comes with losing a home.
